Premium Mini Australian Shepherds

Raised with care in the Fraser Valley

Mini Australian Shepherds (Mini Aussies) are intelligent, loyal, and highly trainable dogs known for their compact size and energetic personality. They typically stand between 13–18 inches tall and are perfect companions for active families, farms, or individuals seeking a devoted and versatile dog. Pups usually mature around 40 lbs.

Puppy Guarantee

Your new puppy is sold guaranteed healthy at the time of purchase. We do our best to assure that the best of care has been taken and expect you to follow up with all necessary veterinary care for your new family member.

Congenital and hereditary illness are guaranteed until the puppy is 1 year of age. In the event a problem occurs as the pup matures, the puppy/dog will be returned to the breeder with a written prognosis from the veterinarian and replaced with another puppy or your purchase price will be fully refunded.

Your puppy is guaranteed for health problems only. Just like kids, pups need to be trained. It is up to you. We cannot take pups back to our facility without first isolating them for 48hrs at our vet… this is costly… So if you want to return your pup only 1/2 the purchase price will be refunded.

If any health issues arise within 48 hours of purchasing the pup, the pup must be returned to myself or my Vet @ Avon Animal Hospital. I will be responsible for the care/costs of the puppy once it has been returned. If you choose to hire a vet yourself to treat the puppy, understand you are solely responsible for any charges incurred and will Not Be Reimbursed.

Your new addition is just a baby — please handle with care and ensure that small children do not play with it as a squeaky toy! Remember this is a baby, very fragile and susceptible to diseases and viruses.

Do not attend any public places until 1 week after your pup has had their 2nd set of shots. Many people do not inoculate their dogs properly and disease spreads easily to baby puppies.

Feeding

Currently your puppy is eating a kennel blend for pups mixed with warm water until they can easily chew the crunchies. This food is very similar to puppy chow. Whatever kind of food you choose, veterinarians recommend you feed 2–3 small feedings daily.

House Training

House training is simplified with a kennel. Most pups will not mess their own bed unless absolutely forced to by being left too long. If your pup wakes you up at 3am, do not play with the pup — out and right back in the kennel. The pup will soon realize this is not playtime and will learn to sleep through the night.

Do not feed just before bedtime! Your pup will most likely need to relieve itself within 10–20 minutes after eating. When your pup does their business outside, let them know they did a great job. Consult the internet for thousands of great training tips.

Health Care

It is imperative that your new pup receives regular shots and de-worming. Ask your veterinarian about excellent products for fleas, worms, ticks, etc. Vaccines and deworming are recommended at 8, 12, and 16 weeks of age, then yearly for shots; deworming should be done at least 3 times per year.

Stress

Your new puppy may suffer briefly from stress — this is common as they are separated from their littermates. Your puppy needs gentle handling and lots of love to help make the transition from "part of a litter" to "part of your family." Signs of stress are crying, whining, and possibly diarrhea. This is quite normal. A box or kennel with a soft towel beside your bed will reassure your puppy that it has not been abandoned. If the pup has diarrhea, Pepto-Bismol dosed according to weight will usually take care of that.

Distress

Vomiting, constant diarrhea, passing blood, and lethargy are not normal. If any of these symptoms occur it could be a serious problem. Please contact myself or:

There is no cap on what a vet can charge for any given problem, which is why I insist you return the pup to me or the care of my vet if there is a problem needing immediate medical treatment within the 48-hour period.

Please understand that everything has been done to properly ensure you are getting a healthy, happy addition to your family. Please contact me with any concerns, questions, or problems you may encounter with your new pup. Your veterinarian is your pet's family doctor — they can answer many questions over the phone usually at no charge.
